Aesop
Aesop was an ancient Greek storyteller who may or may not have existed. Some sources suggest that he was an ugly slave freed for his talent in telling stories. He may have been born in Thrace or in Phyrgia, sometime around 620BC. Others believe that Aesop never existed, but was a myth that developed alongside the stories attributed to him.
